Share Joy Challenge No. 4

Hi there!

I had a chance to play along with the  Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge #4 this week.

I chose to go with the Clean and Simple part of the challenge.

My card is sort of inspired by this card created by Betsy Veldman for the MFT blog a week or so ago. I love the way she used the brick stencil for the background of her card.

Here is my entry:

I used the Rectangled stencil from Winnie and Walter with Wild Honey Distress Ink. I cut the Glorious Gerber Daisy die by Memory Box  from Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock. I finished my card off with a sentiment from the Strictly Sentiments 2 set by WPlus9 and some Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

This card will be sent to one of my aunts that live in another state... just because!

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 204

Hello there!

Welcome to the final edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

For my last card, I wanted to use my favorite papers, stamps, and dies to create something to express my gratitude to Jen for choosing me to be on her team 120+ sketches ago. It has been fun and challenging. I love how her sketches always stretch me to see things differently and try new things.

Thank you Jen, and all of the members of the Design Team for inspiring me to become a better papercrafter. It has been an awesome ride!

The Best of the First 200 - The Deconstructed Sketch

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

Since we just passed the 200 mark, Jen thought it would be fun to go back and let us choose our favorite sketch from the last 200 (!) sketches to showcase this week.

I chose sketch 66 for my card this week.

I used one of my all-time favorite (and nearly gone!) paper pads for this week's card --  Simple Stories: Homespun. I also used the sentiment die from the Avery Elle Gift Card Elle-ments. I added a flower cut from the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, topped it with a PTI Pure Poppy button and some Hemptique twine to finish it off.

Here is the list of the other DT members so you can see which sketch inspired each of them this week:

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 185

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

For my card this week, I used some of the new Crush collection by Authentique. I love the fun mix of colors and patterns in this collection. The sentiment is from the Sending My Love stamp set by Papertrey Ink. And of course, the beautiful sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.
A bow made from May Arts black silk ribbon finishes things off.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 184

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

I hope you are all having a wonderful new year. Mine is getting off to a pretty good start. I took a little trip this past weekend to the beautiful Oregon Coast. It is the only place around lately where we can see the sunshine! We have been stuck in an inversion here for what seems like weeks. It was really good to get away and see the sun!

For my card this week, I used some new-to-me products that have been sitting around in my craft room for awhile just waiting for the right project... so here it is!

I used several papers from the Maggie Holmes Open Book 6x6 pad by Crate Paper, the Happy for You stamp set by Papertrey Ink and the Rhone and Effera Butterfly Wings Dies from Memory Box. I also used the angled stripe stamp from Hand Lettered Winter Wishes (Simon Says Stamp) with Enchanted Gold embossing powder (Ranger), The beautiful gold sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 182

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas holiday.

Are you ready for a brand new Deconstructed Sketch? I took a few liberties with this one... as you will see below.

I used some of the new Pebbles We Go Together papers along with a stamp from Studio Calico and some sequins by Pretty Pink Posh to create this fun shaker card:

Here is my card for this week using some fabulous gold foil dot paper from American Crafts, along with the Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake die cut from gold vellum, and a beautiful Merry  Christmas script die from Impression Obsession. The tiny black bow was created using the Mama Elephant Dainty Bow die. The beautiful gold sequins are by Pretty Pink Posh.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 178

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

This week, Jen has a circle sketch for us to work with. It is also a two-week sketch, so we will be using this one until after the US Thanksgiving holiday next Thursday.

I have to admit that circle cards are always a bit of a challenge for me, but this week I was ready to take it on, and take it one step further! I have never jumped on the whole shaker card band wagon, mostly because I like to go my own way and not take after trends. It seems like "everyone" is doing shaker cards lately, so I have steered away from doing so. Buuuuut.... I have seen some really cool ones floating around blogland this holiday season, AND I just got some gorgeous new sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, sooooooo, I hopped on this shaker card band wagon with everyone else! And, I have to say, it's pretty fun! ☺

I started by cutting a couple of 5" circles on my Silhouette Cameo, then layered on some papers from the 25th & Pine 6x6 paper pad by Basic Grey and then die-cut the deer using Mama Elephant's Winter Wonderland Creative Cuts from gold foil paper. The stamps are all from the coordinating Winter Wonderland stamp set. I didn't have any clear acetate, so I found an old 12x12 sheet by Hambly that had some printed frames on it, and just cut the circle out of that. Yay! I used 4 mm Marshmallow, 6 mm Marshmallow, 4 mm Sparkling Clear Sequins by Pretty Pink Posh and some Glass Glitter by Melissa Frances inside the shaker.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 177

Hello there!

Welcome to the 177th edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

As usual, Jen has dreamed up a super fun sketch for us to work with this week! I can't wait to see what you all do with it.

I just grabbed a few odds and ends that were laying around my workspace... a piece of paper that I had embossed a long time ago... some scraps of paper (MME Jubilee and Cut & Paste) and the awesome Kelly Purkey/Simon Says Stamp Ampersand Die and a bit of gold foil paper and just kind of threw it all together. There was some black embroidery floss laying there, so I wound that around for good measure! Of course I had to add a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins also since those are my new obsession! ☺

VLV Happy Birthday

Hello there!
Just popping in to share another card I made this weekend!

Several weeks ago, I bought a couple of sheets of the Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs paper because I really liked the back sides and have just now had a chance to use them. I paired them with the Viva la Verve sketch for this week and found a match made in heaven! ☺

The sentiment stamp is from one of my all-time favorite Verve stamp sets: Hope Blooms. I also used the Scroll Die by Verve, another fave. Of course, no card is now complete without sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. This time around, I used the 4mm Charcoal.

This card also qualifies for the Verve Diva Dare to use Vellum! So I am linking it up over there also!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

Mojo Monday #370

Hello there!

I hope you are having a wonderful day! I am enjoying one last beautiful fall weekend here in the Pacific Northwest... the weatherman says winter is coming tomorrow! ☺

I was able to spend a little time in the craft room this weekend, so I thought I would play along with some of my favorite challenges.

This card is for Mojo Monday. Julee has created a great sketch (as usual), plus it's contest week! Yay!

I pulled out the 6x6 25th & Pine paper pad by Basic Grey that I bought after Christmas last year and paired it with my favorite Verve set of all time; Bright Spirits to create this festive holiday card! Oh, and I had to add a bit of my newest obsession: Pretty Pink Posh sequins! Love them!

This card also qualifies for the Verve Diva Dare to use Vellum! So I am linking it up over there also!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 176

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

Jen has another fabulous sketch for us to work with this week!

I had so much fun with this one. I finally had time to pull out some new goodies and put them to use! I recently ordered the new Songbirds stamp and die set as well as the Holiday Double Cuts die set from Papertrey Ink and have been anxious to get them out and create with them. Today's sketch was a perfect fit! I also recently placed a first time order with Pretty Pink Posh and received the Stitched Borders 1 Dies and an assortment of gorgeous sequins. You can see that I managed to use those products on this card as well! ☺
