The Deconstructed Sketch No. 200

Hello there!

Welcome to the 200th edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

200 sketches. Wow. I am amazed every week at the awesome sketches Jen creates. They are so fun to work with. Congratulations on your impressive milestone, Jen! Here's to 200 more!

My card for this week was made to celebrate a 3-week road trip that my bestie and I are embarking upon beginning today. I am super excited!

I used papers, stickers, and chipboard from the Hello World collection by My Mind's Eye along with a fun stamp from Ali Edwards.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 190

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

Jen has created another super fun sketch for us to work with this week.

I recently purchased the new MME Fancy That 6 x 6 paper pad, so I wanted to use it right away! I really like the colors, patterns and foil accents of this line. The die-cut sentiment is the Sparkle and Shine Trio Die from WPlus9. I love that scripty font!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 179

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

I took my cues from the My Mind's Eye Sleigh Bells Ring 6x6 paper pad and made a cozy Christmas card this week. It kind of just makes me want to curl up by a nice, warm fire with a blanket and a big mug of hot chocolate!

I used the Eliza Snowflake die from Simon Says Stamp, the 'merry' from The Big, The Bold and the Merry Cutaways by Winnie and Walter and the "Christmas" stamp is from a cool set I just got from Amber over at the Damask Love blog. She designed a set called Over the Edge: Merry and I really love it!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 177

Hello there!

Welcome to the 177th edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

As usual, Jen has dreamed up a super fun sketch for us to work with this week! I can't wait to see what you all do with it.

I just grabbed a few odds and ends that were laying around my workspace... a piece of paper that I had embossed a long time ago... some scraps of paper (MME Jubilee and Cut & Paste) and the awesome Kelly Purkey/Simon Says Stamp Ampersand Die and a bit of gold foil paper and just kind of threw it all together. There was some black embroidery floss laying there, so I wound that around for good measure! Of course I had to add a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins also since those are my new obsession! ☺

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 172

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

For my card this week, I started with the new Joyous 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye. I just love the patterns and colors in this collection!

I created the rosette with the Tim Holtz die, the snowflake is a die by Memory Box, and I pulled out the awesome Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics from My Favorite Things... my new favorite die.

The wood veneers peeking out from under the embellished panel are just something that I picked up from Studio Calico awhile back... they have little embossed images or words on the other side. I just picked out a couple I knew I would never use, turned them over, and voila! a new embellishment was born! I also used some of my very favorite May Arts crochet trim, one of the last of my hoarded Maya Road Trinket Pins, and a leftover chipboard piece from the All is Bright collection by MME.

And there you have it, my card for this week:

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 170

Hello there!

Are you all ready for The Deconstructed Sketch Number 170?!

Jen has a fun sketch full of all kinds of possibilities for us this week!

I am happy to report that I am writing to you from my very own home today! Hooray! September has been a whirlwind of travel and excitement, and it has been fun, but I am ready to get back to a bit of a routine for a while! There really is no place like home.

For my card today, I used some of the new MME Jubilee paper, some May Arts ribbon and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer hearts painted with some Mr. Huey's mist. Pretty straight forward.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 165

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

Jen has another great sketch with lots of layers for us this week.

I had the opportunity to get my hands on some new My Mind's Eye Just Sayin' products this week, so I paired them up with my favorite stamp set from Neat + Tangled and got this crazy little card out of the mix:

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 146

Hello there!

Welcome to another Deconstructed Sketch!

I am still loving the Papertrey Ink Wet Paint stamp set, so I used that again, along with some papers from the MME Record It! Charmed 6 x 6 paper pad. Some chipboard hearts from Studio Calico and some sequins from Hazel and Ruby finish things off.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 143

Hello there!

Welcome to another AWESOME Deconstructed Sketch!

I know I say it every week, but only because it's true! Jen creates the coolest and best sketches around! This week is really fun! I couldn't stop using it... I will only show you 2 of the cards I made, though! ;) But there are more! You will see what I mean... Once you get started, you will have so much fun!

Ok, here is my first card. I just love the new My Mind's Eye Now & Then collection. I paired these beautiful papers with some goodies from my latest Studio Calico card kit (Office Hours). I just love the adorable stamp set that was included this time, along with the matching wood veneers, oh, and that fabulous ribbon!

Well, I was very happy with how this card came out, but I woke up with an idea...

So, I had to go in right away and see if it would work... and it did! Lo, and behold, the Diagonal Stripes Cover Plate from Papertrey Ink is a match made in heaven for this sketch.

See what I mean?

The sentiment is from PTI's Building Blocks stamp set. I just love it!

Hi there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

I was able to get my hands on some new My Mind's Eye papers this week, and of course, I had to pair them up with Jen's fabulous sketch!

I used the new Pretty Things paper from the Record It! collection by My Mind's Eye and combined it with my new Simon Says Stamp small Hello die that I cut out four times and stacked up for extra dimension. That sweet little heart is from the Studio Calico Sugar Rush card kit.
