The Deconstructed Sketch No. 174

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

For my card this week, I used some brand new Mama Elephant stamps (I super love this set!) and some fun new paper from Authentique that I picked up from my LSS yesterday. I stamped the snowflakes from Mama Elephant's Season's Greetings set on the polka dot background paper, and then heat embossed the sentiment from the same set with Zing! Black embossing powder. Some trims from May Arts and the Embellished Tag die from Mama Elephant finish things off. Pretty simple today...

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 173

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

My bestie and I found these adorable papers at our LSS this week and I just had to use them right away! They are from the Hello Autumn collection by Bella Blvd. I just love those cute little owls and the sweet sentiment.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 172

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

For my card this week, I started with the new Joyous 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye. I just love the patterns and colors in this collection!

I created the rosette with the Tim Holtz die, the snowflake is a die by Memory Box, and I pulled out the awesome Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics from My Favorite Things... my new favorite die.

The wood veneers peeking out from under the embellished panel are just something that I picked up from Studio Calico awhile back... they have little embossed images or words on the other side. I just picked out a couple I knew I would never use, turned them over, and voila! a new embellishment was born! I also used some of my very favorite May Arts crochet trim, one of the last of my hoarded Maya Road Trinket Pins, and a leftover chipboard piece from the All is Bright collection by MME.

And there you have it, my card for this week:

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 171

Hello there!

Are you ready for this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch?

Jen has another fun one with lots of layers and options for creativity!

I pulled out the Carte Postale 6x6 paper pad from Basic Grey that I have had for a while, but haven't used, and some new-to-me Tim Holtz stamp sets and got to work!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 170

Hello there!

Are you all ready for The Deconstructed Sketch Number 170?!

Jen has a fun sketch full of all kinds of possibilities for us this week!

I am happy to report that I am writing to you from my very own home today! Hooray! September has been a whirlwind of travel and excitement, and it has been fun, but I am ready to get back to a bit of a routine for a while! There really is no place like home.

For my card today, I used some of the new MME Jubilee paper, some May Arts ribbon and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer hearts painted with some Mr. Huey's mist. Pretty straight forward.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 169

Well, here we are with another edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

This week, I am writing to you from sunny Ohio!

I made this card in the wee hours of the morning before I hopped on a plane to come and visit my family over here...

My latest Lawn Fawn goodies are still on my desk, some of them still unused, so I put them to work... even though it is a *little* bit too early to be thinking about snowflakes and penguins. I just LOVE these stitched snowflakes dies, and that little penguin is just the cutest! The paper is from the Snow Day Petite Paper Pack.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 168

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

Jen has once again created a super fun sketch for us. This one is so cool, and involves the option for stenciling, embossing paste, or something fun like that!

My card this week is for my best friend's birthday. We are celebrating all week long at the World Famous Pendleton Round-up Rodeo! Yay!

I used some of the awesome goodies from My Favorite Things' birthday-themed July release: LJD Celebrate You stamp set and Die-namics, Balloon Stax Die-namics, and Birthday Chalkboard Greetings stamp set. I used a Teresa Collins stencil and Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste colored with Tim Holtz Distress Inks {Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers} for the background. The little gold accents on the packages are just pieces of the same glitter paper I used for the balloon. I just punched them out with my Crop-a-dile, and glued them on! :)
