The Deconstructed Sketch No. 204

Hello there!

Welcome to the final edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

For my last card, I wanted to use my favorite papers, stamps, and dies to create something to express my gratitude to Jen for choosing me to be on her team 120+ sketches ago. It has been fun and challenging. I love how her sketches always stretch me to see things differently and try new things.

Thank you Jen, and all of the members of the Design Team for inspiring me to become a better papercrafter. It has been an awesome ride!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 152

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

As usual, Jen has a fantastic sketch for us to work with.

To make this birthday card for my beautiful mother,  I used some papers from the Simple Stories Homespun 6 x 6 pad and stamps from 3 Avery Elle sets: Petals and Stems, Lots of Love, and Happy Camper. I also used the coordinating Petals and Stems die set and Spellbinders Majestic Circles and Classic Circles dies. Some White 5/8" Crochet Ribbon from May Arts  and some Ranger White Opal Liquid Pearls finish things off.

Here is the list of the other DT members so you can see the amazing creations they have come up with using this week's fantastic sketch:
I hope you are inspired to give this fabulous sketch a try. If you want to play along with us at The Deconstructed Sketch this week, the linky tool and details are over on Jen's blog!

I am also entering this in the AEI♥U Challenge, which is to create a card using botanicals.

I am linking this up to Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday challenge to use patterned paper on a card.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 98

Hi there!

I picked up some new goodies from my friend Jill over at Urban Paper this week, and had to use them right away!

I am combining two challenges: The Deconstructed Sketch, of course, and also, Verve's April Diva Dare. This month the challenge is to use bright colors and flowers or butterflies. Well, of course, I had to play along! I was looking back at my cards for the last few months of DS design team samples and they pretty much all have butterflies on them! =) I love those butterflies!

So here is my card:

I used papers from the new-to-me Simple Stories Fabulous 6x6 pad and painted my ever present Studio Calico Wooden Butterfly with some new Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry Distress Paint and sprinkled some glitter on it while it was still wet. I also used Verve's I Heart U Die Set and coordinating You and I stamp set. I also used the Pennant Trim Die and stamped one of the tiny flowers from Bloom and Grow on each of the flags. Other notables: Papertrey Ink's Hawaiian Shores paper, ink and button.

This was a super fun sketch to work with (as Jen's sketches always are!), I hope you will have time to play along with us this week! The details and linky tool can be found over on Jen's blog.

Jen has created another awesome sketch to inspire us this week!

Here's my take on it:

Just a few minor alterations. =)

I used a lot of Simple Stories Vintage Bliss goodness and my recent favorite Papertrey Ink Simply You stamp set and Fabulous Frames die.

I know the other girls have amazing things to show you today, so here is the list so you can see what they have created:

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 78

For this week's Deconstructed Sketch card, I took a break from my Christmas card making to make this Happy Thanksgiving/Anniversary card for my parents. They celebrate their 30th anniversary on Thanksgiving Day!

I love the Simple Stories Harvest Lane papers, they are so warm and delightful.

We will be using this sketch for two weeks due to the Thanksgiving holiday next week here in the States, I hope you can find time to play along with us.
