The Deconstructed Sketch No. 202

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

I have finally returned home from my awesome adventure. 4000 miles, 3 weeks, 9 National Parks. It was amazing! As soon as I got home, I was hit with a terrible migraine that put me in bed for a couple of days, so I am a little late in creating and posting my card.

My mom's birthday is coming up in  a few days, so this card is for her. I used Graphic 45's Home Sweet Home paper collection and stamp set. Lots of inking and distressing, a bit of burlap and lace trim and a couple of PTI Enchanted Evening buttons finish it off.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 193

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

Jen has created another super fun sketch for us to work with this week.

I found last week that my birthday card stash is completely depleted! I have cards for every occasion EXCEPT birthday! So, for the next couple of weeks I am going to work on making some birthday cards!

For my card today, I used the recently released Home Sweet Home 8 x 8 paper pad from Graphic 45. I did a lot of distressing around all the edges of the panels with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks. For the sentiment I used the Papertrey Ink One Liners: Happy Die along with the coordinating Everyday Happiness stamp set. The rose is by Prima.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 192

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

Jen has another fantastic sketch for us to work with this week!

My card today was made especially for my sweet cousin who is in the hospital.

I used Graphic 45's Botanical Tea papers and a sentiment from the Cheerful Heart stamp set by Papertrey Ink.

VLV Happy Birthday

Hello there!
Just popping in to share another card I made this weekend!

Several weeks ago, I bought a couple of sheets of the Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs paper because I really liked the back sides and have just now had a chance to use them. I paired them with the Viva la Verve sketch for this week and found a match made in heaven! ☺

The sentiment stamp is from one of my all-time favorite Verve stamp sets: Hope Blooms. I also used the Scroll Die by Verve, another fave. Of course, no card is now complete without sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. This time around, I used the 4mm Charcoal.

This card also qualifies for the Verve Diva Dare to use Vellum! So I am linking it up over there also!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 162

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

This past weekend was my birthday, and my sisters each got me new goodies from my favorite local scrapbooking store, so I told them I would use them on this week's card!

I got the new 8x8 Come Away With Me paper pad by Graphic 45 and the Chalkboard Greetings Too stamp set by My Favorite Things:

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 123

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch! As usual, Jen has a magnificent sketch for us! ...so many possibilities! In fact, I liked it so much I made two versions this week. =)

I made this using the new Twelve Days of Christmas papers from Graphic 45 and Papertrey Ink's Big and Bold Holiday Wishes.

I have really been inspired by the clean and simple stylings of Laura Bassen and Cristina Kowalczyk recently. This card was made by placing one of my circle Nestabilities on a piece of white cardstock and sponging the inside with 3 different colors of inks. The stamp sets are Mama Elephant's Hello and Sunny Skies. This card was made for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers to make a Blingtastic card.

Mojo Monday 314

Just a quick post to share this card I made for this week's Mojo Monday contest. I have been playing along with the Splitcoaststamper's Hope You Can Cling To Challenges, so I combined them today, and this one is kind of fun!

The challenge is to make a card with a hidden message (or image) which you can uncover by opening a flap or swinging a hinged tag or panel - not just opening the card.

I made the fishtail banner as a flap hinging at the top of my card, and when you lift it up you find a stamped message on the ribbon!

Sorry for the weird picture... It was a little bit hard to photograph! =)

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 104

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

Jen has another super fun  sketch for us this week. I love all the layers in this one!

Fortunately I made this a week ago (for my mom's birthday!) as I have been down with a migraine for the last several days.

So this will be short and sweet today.

Highlights: Graphic 45 Secret Garden and Butterfly Circle Nestablities.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 92

Hello Friends!

Welcome to this week's Deconstructed Sketch!

I am soooo THANKFUL to be feeling better this week!

I had so much fun creating; I couldn't stop at just one tag... I had to make four!

Ever since I saw a sneak peek of the beautiful Graphic 45 Secret Garden paper on their blog before CHA, I knew I wanted to do something special with it! Well, after waiting and waiting... I finally got my hands on some last week (thanks, Jill!), and when I saw this week's sketch, I knew they were destined to go together! ;)

The idea formulated in my mind as I was creating these that it would be fun to make them to hang/tie on doorknobs/gifts/whatnot just to let special people know how much I care about them.

Here are some close-ups so you can see the sweet sentiments I chose for them. I love this set from Papertrey Ink. It has lots of great encouraging words in it. As you may have noticed, I took a *few* liberties with the sketch this week, but if you look, you can still see it! ;)

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 75

Hello there! I have had so much fun playing in my craft room for the last 2 days! It seems like I have been away from home so much lately and so crazy busy when I am home that I never get time to just create, you know? But the last couple of days have been lazy, creative days... such good therapy!

Today's sketch was a lot of fun... I say that every week, don't I? I really am having a lot of fun playing along with the Deconstructed Sketch Girls.

I am trying to use a different paper and stamp set every week, so I looked through my box and found that I hadn't used any Graphic 45 yet, and I think Crafty Secrets stamps just work beautifully with G45 papers, so, voila! A perfect match! A bit of distress ink, some crochet trim, and a few vintage-y embellishments and we have ourselves this week's card!

Be sure to check out what the other Design Team members have created with this fabulous sketch:
