Little Tangles Challenge #34 - Masking

Hello there!

I have been wanting to try my hand at the masking technique for some time now, especially after seeing the amazing creations that Laura Bassen keeps turning out, so the Little Tangles Challenge #34 is the perfect reason to just do it! :)

I stamped the solid heart from Neat & Tangled's  You + Me set, then carefully cut it out, and used that as a mask, then masked off a strip for my sentiment, and also masked off to create "rays" of color... it only took me 3 failed attempts to create a card that I was happy with. I know there are still some flaws, but for my first try at masking, I'll let 'em go...

 

I love the Little Tangles Challenges... even if I don't always get my card posted, I play along and learn a fun new technique!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 138

Jen has another excellent sketch for us again this week. I just love this one, and I know I will put it to use again!

Since tomorrow is Valentine's Day, I have one last love-themed card to share with you... it is my favorite so far. :)

I recently placed my first order with Simon Says Stamp and it will definitely not be my last! I am addicted to their dies! They are the absolute best! I also placed my first order with Neat & Tangled, where I picked up the super fabulous You + Me stamp set. I love it soooo much! It is so cool, and it pairs perfectly with my new dies!
