The Deconstructed Sketch No. 153

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

For my card this week, I finally got to play with Mama Elephant's new Splendid stamp set aaaaand I FINALLY got my hands on some embossing paste! Yay!

Earlier this week, Laura Bassen posted a video showing how to color the paste with Tim Holtz Distress Ink, so I gave that a try and I love the way it turned out. I can't wait to play around with this fun product some more!

I did some selective inking to separate the sentiment and white heat embossed the word "awesome" on the Mama Elephant Bold Banner Creative Cuts Die to really make it stand out.

Some Studio Calico gold stars and May Arts silk ribbon finish things off.

Here is the list of the other DT members so you can see the amazing creations they have come up with using this week's fantastic sketch:
I hope you are inspired to give this fabulous sketch a try. If you want to play along with us at The Deconstructed Sketch this week, the linky tool and details are over on Jen's blog!

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your day!

  1. I absolutely love your beautiful card, Cresta! I have been looking for that embossing paste too. Guess I need to look harder because that is one gorgeous background you made with it. Love the colors you used too. Very clever to highlight the word awesome. Thanks for sharing with us.
