The Deconstructed Sketch No. 149

Hello there!

Welcome to another edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

Jen has created another fantastic sketch for us this week. It looks like the Design Team has really had fun with it-- there are so many different and beautiful interpretations of the sketch!

For my card, I used Teresa Collins You Are My Happy papers, a sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Signature Greetings set, and the beautiful flowers are from Avery Elle Petals and Stems stamp set and coordinating dies.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 145

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch!

It's another good one!

I used Teresa Collins Daily Stories paper, the fabulous Maggie Holmes Doilies Embossing Folder by American Crafts, and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Inside & Out: Well Wishes stamp set. The super cute bow is made with the Dainty Bows Die-namics by My Favorite Things.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 122

Hello there!

Here is my version of this week's Deconstructed Sketch:

I have been trying to participate in the daily Hope You Can Cling To challenges over at Splitcoaststampers (I have a little bit of catching up to do!). This card was made for yesterday's challenge which was "Words to Inspire You". From Splitcoast:  My challenge to you is to make a card using words that are meant to inspire. What are words that keep you going? What's your mantra?

So, I chose this stamp from KaiserCraft. It is something that I have been thinking a lot about lately. Every day is precious... we are not promised tomorrow.

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 118

Hello there!

Welcome to this week's edition of The Deconstructed Sketch! Jen has another fun sketch for us this week... one with lots of layers: my favorite!

This week my card is for someone special. My best friend is having a birthday on Friday! It is always more fun making cards when I have a specific person in mind. Next week is my baby sister's birthday, so that one will probably have a birthday theme as well! =)

I was finally able to get my hands on some Teresa Collins Memorabilia papers, so I used those on this card, along with my favorite staples: Papertrey Kraft and MFT Steel Grey and Smooth White. The stamps are from the PTI Movers and Shakers set and the button is PTI Ocean Tides. A little Studio Calico Wood Veneer Butterfly and some Hemp Twine finish things off.

Here's the updated Design Team list so you can take a peek at what the other ladies have created using this week's fantastic sketch!

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 76

Hello there! Welcome to this week's Deconstructed Sketch!

 I do believe this is the first time I have ever made a round card! I am not sure why... it was fun! I was excited to try Jen's sketch this week, and I got new papers on my shopping expedition to the big city so I was ready to go!

For this week's card I used the beautiful new Teresa Collins Christmas Cottage collection. I just love everything she designs. Her style really speaks to me.

I had a little trouble with the square panel on my card because I really wanted to show off the strip of patterned paper rather than cover it up, so after about an hour of trying this and that, I hit upon the idea of creating this dimensional ornament (complete with ornament hanger that I robbed from my Christmas tree box!) and I rather like how it turned out.

I hope you will check out what the other Deconstructed Sketch Girls have created for you today. I know I am excited to see what everyone else has designed using this week's fabulous sketch!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

Supplies used:
Paper: Christmas Cottage {Teresa Collins}, Kraft, Scarlet Jewel {Papertrey Ink}
Accessories: 1 1/2" Circle Scallop Punch {Paper Shapers}, SK09 1/4" Silk Ribbon {May Arts}, Pearls {Kaiser Craft}, Victorian Lace Border Die {Papertrey Ink}

The Deconstructed Sketch No. 69

Well, I have such exciting news! Jen from The Deconstructed Sketch has invited me to be a Guest Designer for the next couple of months! I am so excited to play along with the talented ladies that bring us these fabulous sketches and samples every week. If you haven't heard of this sketch blog before, I hope you will check it out. Jen is one of the best at creating card sketches!

 My card for today was made especially for my best friend. Today is her birthday! One of her favorite colors is yellow, but it is also my hardest color to create with! I have found that Teresa Collins products make it easier though!  On my last trip to "the big city" I found these delightful little fabric mistable butterflies by Studio Calico that are the perfect finishing touch for my card.

I am still loving all of the goodness I got from Verve's latest release. The Brighter Days set is one of my new favorite stamp sets. I can't seem to put it down! The fonts and sentiments are just the perfect combination of wonderful!

Here is the list of all of the other Design Team members who have created something fabulous with today's sketch. I hope you will check them out and play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!
