The Deconstructed Sketch No. 98

Hi there!

I picked up some new goodies from my friend Jill over at Urban Paper this week, and had to use them right away!

I am combining two challenges: The Deconstructed Sketch, of course, and also, Verve's April Diva Dare. This month the challenge is to use bright colors and flowers or butterflies. Well, of course, I had to play along! I was looking back at my cards for the last few months of DS design team samples and they pretty much all have butterflies on them! =) I love those butterflies!

So here is my card:

I used papers from the new-to-me Simple Stories Fabulous 6x6 pad and painted my ever present Studio Calico Wooden Butterfly with some new Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry Distress Paint and sprinkled some glitter on it while it was still wet. I also used Verve's I Heart U Die Set and coordinating You and I stamp set. I also used the Pennant Trim Die and stamped one of the tiny flowers from Bloom and Grow on each of the flags. Other notables: Papertrey Ink's Hawaiian Shores paper, ink and button.

This was a super fun sketch to work with (as Jen's sketches always are!), I hope you will have time to play along with us this week! The details and linky tool can be found over on Jen's blog.

Here is the list of the other design team members so you can visit their blogs and see what amazingness they have created this week:

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!
